I just bought it and it’s great :) There seems to be some bugs though, for example i removed a tile from start screen and now i can’t get it back no matter what i do. The app says the tile is added but it’s nowhere to be seen.

Thanks! With any first versions there are bound to be some issues, that particular issue I haven’t run into yet, but there is an issue where the list of pinned apps did not match what was on the front page.

How do we pin the whole tile and not the small square? I see wide logo but I can’t click on it or anything.

Hey Sade, the wide logo is automatically there as well when you pin the game :)

Hey! I really like your app! Thx for creating it!
I’d love to have an option to add Non-Steam games, though.. for example all Blizzard titles (Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft).

    Hey @Holanda , you’re welcome! Thanks for buying 😀

The next update will allow you to add Non-Steam games and even any other URL you’d like. It’s in certification now pending approval so look for update in the coming week :)

    @felizk
That’s really good news! ^^ So it updates automatically?

  8. November 27th, 2012 at 01:34 | #8

@Holanda I hope so. If not you might need to enable auto updating in the Store app.

I just bought this, mostly because I can’t figure out any other way to pin wide apps to the start screen.

I would like to be able to customize both the wide image and (more importantly) the small image. I’m not sure where you’re getting the small images from, but very few of them are relevant to the games, and many of the wide images can’t be properly cropped such the all or none of the title is in the small image.

    Hey @Efreak ,

In the next update you’ll be able to pick and crop your own images or browse the web for images directly from the app. It should be out sometime this week.

    Thanks :)

Strange thing happend to me today: Everytime I played a game, closed it and wanted to start another game, Pin Steam started the previous game I played. It just worked after the 2. start of the game I wanted to play. But now it is working again.. no strange behaviour.

  12. November 27th, 2012 at 16:41 | #12

@Holanda that does sound strange, I’m glad it turned out OK anyway. The launching was tweaked a little in version 2 so hopefully there will be no more strangeness.

Hey! I just updated the app! Thanks for the new version!
Now I was just wondering how I can add a new program .exe instead of a URL? Maybe I’m doing something wrong but he won’t take the path to my programs..

  14. November 28th, 2012 at 14:51 | #14

Hey @Holanda , it has to be an URL, it’s a restriction by Microsoft, sorry. A work around is to add your exe to steam as a non steam game and use the url given as seen in the guide. http://felizk.dk/?page_id=431

Ah, okay! That’s no problem. ^^
I’m currently making some tiles for Diablo III. Which imagesize do I need to reach max. imagequality? I noticed that there’s some sort of compression or rezise, even after cropping the image.

  16. November 28th, 2012 at 19:21 | #16

@Holanda , the picture you crop is saved as a png for the tile, there shouldn’t be more compression involved. I can do a double check for next version but I’m not sure I can make it better than it is now. You might get best result if you dont scale the image at all.
